Hapoel Be’er Sheva surprisingly defeated Inter Milan 0-2 at San Siro last two weeks, now they will be hosting English side Southampton at Yaakuv Turner Toto Stadium Be’er Sheva.
The Israeli side defeated Inter Milano against all odds at Italian soil, goals from Miguel Victor and M. Buzaglo in the 54th and 69th minute respectively were enough to give them the deserved win. They will e hoping to win this game to go top of group K.
Hapoel are currently 2nd in the Ligaat Ha’al table with 10 points from 5 games, 6 points below Macabi Tel Aviv on top of the table. They are currently on an unbeaten run in their last 3 games in all competitions and hope to keep the good form.
Southampton defeated Sparta Praha at home in their first group game as the game end 3-0. Austin’s Penalty in the 5th minute opened the score for the Saints, while his second goal in the 27th minute extended the lead to 2-0. Later in the 90th minute, J. Rodriguez made 3-0 keeping them top of group K
The Saints will enter the game from a 0-3 away win at West Ham, goals from Austin, D. Tadic and J. Ward-Prowse were enough to give the the desired win. They now will be hoping for a win in this fixture to extend their winning streak to 5 games.
