Who would have thought that comments from a Sunderland player would end up causing a fuss in Brazil. ZH Sports are unhappy with comments from Wes Brown about his former Manchester United teammate Anderson. Brown was speaking to Sunderland's YouTube channel recently and was asked to name the least intelligent teammate he'd ever had.
"Not going to say anyone at Sunderland because that will get back.
"I'd go Anderson. Just because when I was with him he was there for four years and I honestly still don't think he can speak English."
ZH Sports think the whole thing was a misunderstanding. They claim that Brown and Anderson were best friends at Manchester United and the former England international will simply be having a joke with his pal. That's perhaps stretching it a little.
They reckon newspapers and websites were incorrect to take it seriously and change the context from that which was intended, believing this is an example of how the opinion of Anderson has dropped in British football. source: sportwitness.ning.com
There's clear anger at that, but what's perplexing ZH Sports more is what has happened to Anderson's career, many Manchester United fans can relate to that. It's claimed that a return to Brazil is likely with Gremio being mentioned, as they usually are, and Flamengo thrown into the running too.
