17-year-old Liverpool player singles out Brazilian when asked about first-team

Last summer, Liverpool won the race to sign promising youngster Ovie Ejaria, who had formerly played for Arsenal.

As reported by the Daily Star back in May, the Reds signed the central midfielder ahead of the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City, after he was free to leave the Emirates Stadium having not signed scholarship forms by July.

And now the 17-year-old has been speaking to Liverpool’s official website as he became the latest academy player to take part in a question-and-answer session.

Ejaria has been impressing for the club’s under-18 side this season, and among other things he revealed his ultimate dream in football and the Liverpool player he most admires. source:hereisthecity.com

The former Arsenal teenager’s ultimate dream is to play at the top level, something many of the youngsters currently in Liverpool’s academy have the ability to do.

He also gave an interesting answer when it came to the Reds star he most admired. The stock answer of Steven Gerrard did not come this time, with Ejaria singling out Brazilian play-maker Philippe Coutinho.

The young Liverpool star is still improving himself but he has clearly make a very big impression on a teenager who was highly-rated at Arsenal and could go on to make a big name for himself at Anfield in the years to come.

Have you been impressed with what you have seen of Ejaria so far?
