Arsenal will complete the £15m signing of Brazilian defender Gabriel Paulista today, according to reports in Spain.
The Villarreal centre back has impressed for La Liga's third meanest defence this season, and there were suggestions he was also a target for Manchester United.
Spanish radio show El Larguero, of Cadena SER, believe the transfer will go ahead on Wednesday, although Gabriel is unlikely to feature in Arsenal's FA Cup match this weekend. source: itv.com
Villarreal manager Marcelino Garcia Toral confirmed:
"If both Gabriel Paulista and the club believe that his sale to Arsenal is the best for all parties, we will accept."
