The Smoggies are coming off a sorry 0-1 defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur on the road at the White Hart Lane last Saturday for their second loss in their last three games, as per The Guardian.

Spurs striker Harry Kane provided the lone goal in the contest for the hosts as he scored a penalty kick in the 58th minute off a foul by Middlesbrough defender Bernardo Espinosa on South Korean forward Son Heung-min.

Meanwhile, Everton pulled off a high-scoring 6-3 victory over lowly squad Bournemouth at their home ground of Goodison Park also last Saturday, ESPN reported.

Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku was the man of the match for head coach Ronald Koeman's side as he scored four goals, in the first, 29th, 83rd, and 84th minutes, to lead the Toffees in their six-goal masterpiece.
James McCarthy and Ross Barkley scored the other two goals for the hosts in the 23rd and 90th+4 minutes.

Bournemouth had a brace from Norwegian midfielder Joshua King in the 59th and 70th minutes and also one goal from Irish midfielder Harry Arter at the stroke of full-time.

The win was Everton's fourth in their last five games as they are now five points behind sixth-running team Manchester United in the seventh spot in the overall standings.
