Villarreal

The Yellow Submarine are one of the most injuries struck side in the division with five of the players still sidelined due to injury.

Club captain Bruno Soriano hasn’t featured this whole campaign alongside their keeper Andres Fernandez. Ruben Semedo and Nicola Sansone are unavailable due to muscle and calf injuries.

The recent addition to the list is Javi Fuego who suffered a sprained ankle. Mario Gaspar is also suspended for the game.

Betting Tips & Predictions

Las Palmas are essentially locked in a battle with Levante to avoid the last remaining relegation spot in La Liga, and Paco Jemez’s side are making a real fist of avoiding the drop.

After a poor run of form over Christmas, Las Palmas have lost just three of their last seven games – not fantastic form, but an improvement on their end of 2017 spell.

Villarreal are the most out of form side in the top six, and they will be mindful of the upturn in form of both Eibar and Girona – who they lost 2-0 at home to last weekend – just below them.

The Yellow Submarine crashed out of the Europa League at the hands of Lyon, and they have lost four of their last six games in the league.

This looks to be an ideal scenario for Las Palmas to get some points on the boards, up against a shaky Villarreal side, but they are struggling for consistency themselves, and a draw – priced at 12/5 – looks a safer bet.

Both sides are also struggling for goals as well as points in recent matches, with Villarreal scoring just twice in their last five games in all competitions and Las Palmas scoring three in the same run.

With that in mind this could well be a low scorer, with an under 2.5 total goals bet at 5/6, and under 3.5 goals bet at 1/3.

Las Palmas vs Villarreal: Head-to-head

Villarreal have been slightly more successful over the history and they lead the head to head tie by two wins ahead of landmark 20th encounter with the Canaries.

The Yellow Submarine have picked up a demolishing 4-0 victory when the two teams met in this term of Primera Division back in October last year at Estadio de la Ceramica.

Only one of last five H2h meetings has seen both teams on the scoresheet.
