Leonardo Jardim’s men are coming off a disappointing 2-1 defeat at home to Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League. Despite taking a first half lead through Samuel Grandsir, they failed to hold on and conceded twice.
Monaco have been on a terrible run of form in recent weeks as they have failed to win in their last five matches in all competitions. Jardim has bemoaned the team’s poor start to the season but the manager is still insistent that they will turn the corner soon.
With Stevan Jovetic still out injured, Grandisir could be handed a start on Friday after scoring in against Atletico in the Champions League. Radamel Falcao and Youri Tielemans have scored two goals each this season and both men will be hoping to improve on their tally this weekend.
Nimes
The Crocodiles were held to a thrilling 3-3 draw away at Bordeaux in their previous Ligue 1 outing last weekend. Baptiste Guillaume, Antonin Bobichon and Umut Bozok got the goals as they ended a run of two straight defeats.
Nimes have impressed on their return to the French topflight having claimed two wins and a draw in their opening five matches. They received some good news this week with Moroccan striker Rachid Alioui reportedly nearing a return from the hamstring injury which has kept him out since May.
Manager Bernard Blaquart is likely to retain much of the team that earned the draw at Bordeaux. Bobichon and Bozok are expected to continue in attack for the visitors after both men got on the score sheet last weekend.

Belgian Youri Tielemans has made a fine start to the season with two goals in four matches from midfield. He will be confident of coming out on top in his battle with Theo Valls for Nimes.
