PREDICTION
Each team has had a week to prepare for this game and with no new injuries both managers will be pleased to have near full strength squads to pick from. A win would mean so much to either side given all the recent draws and defeats, not to mention putting three points between their opponents in the race for a top half finish. Empoli have the more dangerous striker in Maccarone, but Sassuolo have more scoring options with Berardi, Floccari, Sansone, Acerbi and Defrel all capable of finding the back of the net. Saponara could be the man for the visitors who decides this game, not only is he their second top scorer with five he has also assisted eight times so far and will cause the home defence major problems if given time of the ball. I’m going to back the hosts to win, with the crowed behind them and two draws on the run I think this is their time to get back into the wins. Not expecting many goals though, Id be surprised if there were over 2.5.
