Reason For Betting Tips

Burnley were always going to find things difficult in their return to the Premier League. Their squad isn’t much, if any, stronger than it was the last time they were relegated from the top flight and a lot of the middle of the road clubs in the Premier League have improved significantly.
They opened their season with a 1-0 loss at home to Swansea, and although they managed a very impressive and unlikely 2-0 win at home to Liverpool there hasn’t been much good news for Burnley fans since then.

Burnley were knocked out of the League Cup in extra time by Accrington Stanley, with them failing to score against the League Two side. They were then convincingly beaten at the hands of Chelsea before drawing at home to Hull. A 3-0 hammering from Leicester last weekend.made it three defeats, one win, and one draw in their five Premier League games.

This leaves Burnley in 16th position, but with a tough run of fixtures, including a home match against Arsenal and trips to Southampton and Manchester United coming up in the next month, things could get worse before they get better.

Watford also started the season in poor fashion after inexplicably replacing Quique Sanchez Flores as manager. They started the season with a somewhat fortuitous draw at Southampton but they fell to defeats against Chelsea, Gillingham, and Arsenal.

Their turning point of the season could have come two weekends ago though, when they came from two goals down at the London Stadium to beat West Ham 4-2 as they took advantage of the Hammers awful defending. They followed this up last weekend with an excellent performance in a 3-1 win over Manchester United, with these two results seeing them move up to 9th in the table.
The visitors have been involved in some entertaining matches so far this season as well. There have been ten goals in their last two games and they have seen at least three goals scored in each of their last five. Burnley have conceded seven goals in their last three games as well, so backing Over 2.5 Goals and excellent odds of 6/5 is a profitable prediction. I’m going for a 2-1 win for the visitors at 10/1 for my correct score prediction as well.

Head To Head

Watford have won one of their last six meetings with Burnley, with the other five all ending as draws.
Stats

Watford have seen Over 2.5 goals in 83% of their six matches so far this season, with an average of five goals per game in their last two outings.

Team News

Striker Ashley Barnes is Burnley's only injury concern for Monday's game.
Darryl Janmaat and Stefano Okaka are both expected out until the middle of October, but Watford are hoping that Younes Kaboul will return to play after his slight knock.
