Dinamo Zagreb vs Juventus UEFA Champions League – Group H Date: Tuesday, 27th September, 2016, Kick-Off: 21:00 GMT+7 Venue: Stadion Maksimir, Zagreb.
Reason For Betting Tips
Dinamo Zagreb have had an unusually poor start to this season. As the dominant Croatian champions they go into every match expecting to win, and this usually ends up being the case. However, a 1-0 loss at home to Osijek at the start of September ended an absurd run of over six years without a home defeat in the Croatian 1. HNL.

This was followed by a 3-0 thrashing at the hands of Lyon in the Champions League group stage opener, but the following weekend saw them sink to new lows. They lost 5-2 at Rijeka after going four goals down within the hour, and despite them bouncing back with two straight victories, that trio of losses will weigh heavily on the Dinamo Zagreb players’ minds. It was the first time they had lost three straight games since May 2014 and the first time they had lost two in a row in the league since 2008.

Now they face the unenviable task of hosting Serie A giants Juventus as they look for a better result than their 3-0 loss to Lyon. The Italians poached one of their most talented youngsters in the summer as Marko Pjaca moved to Turin for just shy of £20 million, and he is likely to get a fiery reception should he play on Tuesday.

Juventus haven’t started the season badly, but they look to be losing ground in the race to stay on top of Serie A. They won their opening three matches in Serie A before a drab and lifeless goalless draw at home to Sevilla in their first Champions League group game.

They followed this disappointing start to European proceedings with a 2-1 defeat at Inter Milan, and although they have since beaten Cagliari and Palermo, they will be wary of the fact that Napoli are just a point behind them in the table. The Turin side will be desperate to stay ahead of them after shelling out £90 million on Gonzalo Higuain in the summer.

Juventus are definitely the favourites here, but I think there is some merit to backing Dinamo Zagreb to get something. The odds of 3/1 for a Dinamo Zagreb Win or Draw Double chance are incredibly generous, and they only get better when you realise that Juventus have only won three of their last 14 away days in the Champions League. Dinamo Zagreb have only lost two of their last nine home games in the competition as well, and they managed to beat Arsenal last season. I’m backing the hosts to get something because of the high value odds, and I’m going for a 1-1 correct score prediction at 10/1 as well.

Head To Head

This will be the first meeting between these sides.
